Terms of Service
Last updated 15 July 2026
These are the terms you agree to when you buy a gift on pugaday.co.uk. We've kept them short and readable, because terms nobody reads protect nobody. By buying a gift, you're agreeing to them.
What you're buying
A gift: for a one-off fee, we send a picture of a pug to a person you nominate, once a day, for the length of the plan you chose — 14 days for The Taster (£5) or 30 days for The Full Month (£10).
It's a one-off payment, not a subscription. Nothing recurs, nothing renews, and when the days run out the pugs stop on their own. There is nothing to cancel.
How the gift reaches them
Every gift is accepted by its recipient before a single pug is sent. If you gave us their email, we send them an invitation; if you didn't, we give you a link to pass on yourself. Either way, they choose where they want their pugs. Until someone accepts, nothing is delivered.
If a recipient never accepts, no pugs are sent. We can't force a gift on someone who doesn't open the door — if that happens, get in touch and we'll make it right.
The rules of engagement
Pug a Day is for delight, and for the gentle, affectionate ribbing of people who can take it. It is not a tool for harassment. When you send a gift, you confirm that:
- •You reasonably believe the recipient will be glad to receive it, or will at least take it in the spirit intended.
- •You're not using it to harass, threaten, intimidate or upset anyone.
- •Any email address or contact detail you give us, you're entitled to use.
The recipient is in charge, always. One click stops the pugs, at any point, no questions asked. We reserve the right to cancel any gift and refuse service if we think it's being used to hurt someone — and to keep your fee if we do.
Refunds
If something goes wrong on our end — the pugs don't arrive, the gift breaks, we drop the ball — email hello@pugaday.co.uk and we'll refund you or fix it. Because a gift begins as soon as the recipient accepts it, we can't generally refund one that's already under way and going to plan — but talk to us; we're reasonable, and none of this affects your legal rights as a consumer.
The pugs themselves
The images we send are ours to send, and are provided for your and the recipient's personal enjoyment. Please don't resell them or pass them off as your own. The Pug a Day name, look and artwork belong to us.
What we can't promise
We'll always do our best to land a pug every morning, but we depend on email providers and other services we don't control, so we can't guarantee perfect delivery every single day. To the extent the law allows, our liability for any gift is limited to what you paid for it. We don't exclude anything the law says we can't.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and any dispute falls to its courts. If any part of them turns out to be unenforceable, the rest still stands.
Changes
We may update these terms now and then. The version that applies to your gift is the one that was live when you bought it, and we'll keep the date at the top honest.
